Hyundai Tucson competitors' 0-60

Do you want to earn a few bragging rights? It's simple. Simply test your Hyundai Tucson accelerations time, of course, in a hands-free as well as fully automated way. What's more, post the Tucson 0-60 time to your leaderboard.

The leaderboard will feature accuracy to the millisecond and display your position in comparison to other users in real time. Also, it'll save for you lots of acceleration times from various models.

The Hyundai Tucson is the answer to all those who want a nice SUV with many features and an excellent range of engine spec options, but would not like to spend as much. Perhaps one of the most significant advantages of Tucson is the value that it offers for its money, especially when compared to other SUVs of the segment.

An international team of manufacturers and designers came together to bring the Tucson into existence, and by the refinement and convenience of this car, you can see how all this talent summed up to create this great vehicle offered by Hyundai. Interestingly enough, only four-cylinder engines come with the Tucson. The baseline is a 164ho 2.0-liter, with a 6-speed automatic, which is not advised unless you are counting every penny, for it hasn’t been reported to have a good response, and is not enough power to properly propel this SUV. Moving up you have the 175hp turbocharged 1.6-liter, featuring a 7-speed DCT, which performs much better altogether, though the power supply’s balance could use some more refinement.

On the top end of the spectrum, you get the 181hp 2.4-liter engine; 2018 drive tests report a 0-60 acceleration in 7.9 seconds, and a quarter mile covered in 16.2 seconds at 85.5 mph. All-wheel drive is optional. One entirely different feature of the Tucson’s transmission is that you get optional manual controls; this is not a hybrid system that decides for you and automatically reverts when reaching top rpm, so for those of you who prefer a manual transmission, this is an important feature to bear in mind. Former designs of the Tucson were updated for the 2018 edition and rearranged to be more in line with the style of the Kona and the Santa Fe. The visual style is similar, prominently featuring the 7” or 8” touchscreen on the top.

The infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity in most trims and had been recognized as one of the best-designed OEM systems in the world. The cabin is comfortable and roomy, and especially with the highest trims, you get luxury details for a price much lower than expected.

From USB chargers and cupholders to a panoramic sunroof and an incorporated navigation system, aside from the basics such as leather upholstery and LED headlights. Heated seats are another noteworthy addition to the comfort of the driving experience. Moving to the back half of the interior, space is still very generous, doors are easy to operate and use, and the seats flip down to triple the standard 513 liters of space in the boot. Perhaps the main advantage of the back seat design is that there is no seven-seat option for Tucson.
