How to make your Mazda CX-50 safer?

Modern cars are equipped with a huge amount of electronics and special devices that help protect the driver and passengers in case of a crash, and sometimes even help you avoid the accident. However, do not rely entirely on your Mazda CX-50 - remember, your safety on the road is your main responsibility, and no technology can help you with that.

Follow these simple tips to make every road trip safe and relaxing.

  • Maintain your Mazda CX-50: Regularly check your Mazda CX-50 brakes, tires, headlights, windshield wipers and other critical components. Keeping your vehicle in good condition will reduce the chances of an accident due to mechanical failure.
  • Wear your seatbelt: Make sure you and all passengers in the car are wearing seatbelts, and ensure that children are using the appropriate car seats or booster seats. Seatbelts can significantly reduce the risk of injury in a crash.
  • If you have small children in your car, be sure to carry them in a child seat: The child must be buckled up inside and the seat must be securely fastened in place.
  • Remember to turn on your side lights, daytime running lights, or low-beam headlights every time you drive: This makes you more visible to other drivers on the road.
  • Follow traffic rules: Obey traffic laws, including speed limits, traffic signals, and signs. Avoid distracted driving, such as texting or using your phone while behind the wheel.
  • Install a third brake light on your car: This will increase your visibility on the road and other drivers will be aware of your maneuvers, even in low visibility conditions.
  • Plan your route: Plan your route in advance and use a navigation system or map to help you get where you're going. This can help reduce stress and prevent you from getting lost or taking a wrong turn.
  • Take breaks: Driving for long periods of time can be tiring and can impair your ability to focus. Take regular breaks to stretch your legs, use the restroom, or grab a snack. Avoid driving when you're feeling fatigued.
  • Be prepared: Bring an emergency kit that includes a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, flashlight, blanket, water, and snacks. You never know when you may encounter an unexpected situation, so it's important to be prepared.
  • Stay alert: Keep your eyes on the road and be aware of your surroundings. Look out for other drivers, pedestrians, and potential hazards on the road.
