Do you want to earn a few bragging rights? It's simple. Simply test your Mercedes-Benz S-Class accelerations time, of course, in a hands-free as well as fully automated way. What's more, post the S-Class 0-60 time to your leaderboard.
The leaderboard will feature accuracy to the millisecond and display your position in comparison to other users in real time. Also, it'll save for you lots of acceleration times from various models.
Unlike other models in its class which have to update significant changes, the S-Class still remains the best luxury sedan. This year’s readily available model, the S450 runs on a less powerful V6 compared to the S560 V-6 engine. However, to the joy of its users, Mercedes has retained its other cool features.
0-60 and Engine specs
The Mercedes offers three engines for its users such as the standard 3.0-liter V-6, the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 pushing 469 hp.
There is also 4.0-liter making 603 hp and the twin entry turbo 6.0-liter V-12 pushing 621 hp.
The 9-speed automatic gearbox brings into action the S450 3.0-liter V-6 and both 4.0-liter motors. The Mercedes doesn't use a twist converter in the S63 model. Instead of it, you can try a soggy clutch of a starter. It helps to save mass and advances the performance of fuel metering unit.
All S-Class forms go quietly and easily. Even a beginner-level driver can quickly get the hang of the vehicle. The relaxing S450 is powerful enough, but the S560 drafts even more than you imagine.
All 9-speed modifications except AMG accelerate quickly, but you don't feel the acceleration and do not hear the diesel. The Mercedes-Benz S-class 0-60 time is just 3.7-4.8 seconds. Among the real champions of the list, you find the S63 and S65 AMG modifications with the 12.1-12.2 seconds Mercedes-Benz S-class 1⁄4 mile time.
No matter how strange it is, but the latest S-63 with 4-liter V-8 motor bypasses the twin-turbo early model with a 5.5-liter V-8 engine pushing up to 26 hp and showing a 3.5 seconds Mercedes-Benz 0 to 60 mph against 3.9 seconds.
The handling has remained smooth, and in Sport + mode you can feel the gear shift. S65 AMG model pushes 621 hp, but it isn't so fast. This model has only rear-wheel drive.
Exterior & Interior
Unlike previous S-Class models, in 2018 Mercedes offers sedans exclusively as a basic modification.
The model provides an update for all the bumpers. Mercedes also modifies the S-class headlights and taillights. Each wide-range headlight has three noticeable eyebrows. The V-12 model grille adorns the S-class nose. The grille consists of 3 double partitions. cars received the AMG and Maybach logo. The cabin gets a transparent glass dashboard with two 12.3-inch displays built into it. Panel lines continue in both directions: to the door to the front traveler and the driver.
The interior works in contrast to the modern infotainment screen and classic charm. Splashes of aluminum, leather and ooze leather complete the styling.
Conclusion
No matter what anyone says, but the 2018 S-class maintains its reputation and confidently acts as a leader of its niche. The A8 and 7-Series are among the closest competitors, but they are not as unique as the S-class. And its E-class semi-autonomous driving technologies makes us easy to recommend you this model of Mers.
