Despite the restrained sound, the 3.7-liter V6 pulls just like a sucker. To achieve this, however, the 5000 revolutions must be overcome with a bold gas stream, so that the engine runs at 371 newton meters of torque on the rear axle. Anyone who hunts the needle by the speed display to approach the predefined acceleration value (0 to 60 miles) of 5.2 is prompted by a red flashing light in the speedometer display for 8000 revolutions with a red flashing light. At the same time you can still grab, push and pull, so that the six short switching distances can be covered quickly. Every change of gear is acknowledged with a clank of the clutch and a cracking of the transmission - as is usual with racing cars. In normal cars, it may seem strange, but the 370Z Nismo is just for it. He is a pure sportsman. However, the facelift is much calmer thanks to new insulation. No washing of dirt in the rear wheel houses annoyed as with the predecessor and also beyond the 200 km / h the loudest noises from the communication needy suspension. If you want to know something about the states of German roads, you just have to ask a 370Z Nismo driver.

A real sportsman like the Nismo must also have a really taut chassis. With its 245/40 R19 front and 285/35 R19 rear wheels, it is fully loaded on the road and can be controlled quickly and precisely with direct steering. The new tuning of the rear shock absorbers ensures more peace in the rear. It can be accelerated with the 344 hp drive and speed up to 250 and a few km / h more without a queasy feeling. Only the grip surfaces of the steering wheel, which are related to the Alcantara, should then be held firmly in the hands, in order to correct quickly after any shocks caused by the road surface. The seat position is deeper thanks to the new Recaro sports seats, allowing the driver to even better control the 370Z Nismo. Enough rest comfort is available despite long sideways for sideways. In addition, long people benefit from the larger seat support. However, for the top position in the seating position, the steering wheel width is still not fully adjusted.

At the end of the test drive the onboard computer showed a consumption of 14 liters. Ok, but a little more than the factory specification of 10.6 liters. However, we also had some full throttle sections to enjoy the powerful suction engine so right. Perhaps for the last time, because the successor of the 370Z (still in the planning) is to get no more V6 - at least not in Europe. Here a four-cylinder turbo would be conceivable. But before that, we can look forward to the next summer when perhaps the 370Z Nismo Roadster comes, which was presented at the beginning of 2015 at the Chicago Auto Show as a study.
